He came up to my house once, when Alike Cooper were collecting some props off me. He was a great guy to talk to, and he gave me some much appreciated advice. Whenever I saw him when I was in London, he was always happy for a chat.
RIP Geoff.

In the next Classic Rock magazine, there will be some thoughts on Geoff by Andy McCoy

I met Geoff a couple of times, Anna (my wife) knew him better.
When anyone we know passes it is always tragic.
Rest.

That's no age to be going..

Thoughts go out to his family and friends

How'd he die? Didn't know his name, but loved what I heard from Sonic Boom Boyz. That's too bad. Seemed like a cool dude.

The memorial being organised by Jet is gonna be in September/October, as Jet is playing the UK Subs tour first. Then gotta get all the members who ever played in Sonic Boom Boys together, find a night that they can all do the memorial gig. Will keep you posted.

Hmmm It was for me a shock when I heard this news, I was at a festival here in Holland, and simply couldn't have fun anymore. Geoff and I grown up together as teens and I organised his first tours in Holland with the Sonic Boom Boys and later I did his Geoff Starr RocknRollband aswell.
Last tiem I visited him I took him with me to see The Darkness a playing there christmasshows at Brixton, he enjoyed them big time, that night he gave his cd's to Brian May and Justin Hawkins, and spend timewith them backstage and in the dressingroom. He was/is a great guy, evrybody who really knew him, knows that.
A friend of me and a fan of his work made a condoleanceregister, which I will give to his parents. So hopefully you will write a message in that register...and when I can make it, I will come over to the memorialgig and once again enjoys the music he made.
